Three-Buddha CaveIssuing time:2021-11-03 20:11 The Three Buddha Cave is also called the Cave of Three-Body Buddha. According to the Mahayana (Great Vehicle) Encyclopedia, the Three Buddha represented the three different Dharmakaya (meaning the immaterial, invisible and immortal bodies) of Shakyamuni Buddha. The central one is the Dharmakaya Buddha, which means the Buddha-body in itself and represents the absolute truth. The one on the left is the Sambhogakaya, which means the reward body of the Buddha and represents wisdom and brightness. The right one is the Nirmanakaya, which means the Buddha has the power to assume any form of appearance in order to propagate Buddhism.
