Molianshi River

The Phoenix Mountain Park has lots of springs. In the deep part of the valley lies a slow-flowing stream called the Molianshi River (Sickle Sharpener River). Water is so clear that one can clearly see the cobbles at the river bottom, which are as smooth as grinding stones. In the past when villagers harvested crops, they used these stones to sharpen their sickles, hence the name of the river.
